We didn't pitch this. We printed it.
When Vihaar (CEO of Orange Slice) told me about the first-ever GTM Engineer Hackathon at YC, I knew another B2B GTM SaaS vibe-coded in 10 minutes wasn't going to cut it.
So the morning of, I bought a printer at Target and carried it by hand, solo, from FiDi to Dogpatch. My wrists still remember it.
I got to YC early, set it up, and said nothing. All day, people asked what the printer was for. I let them wonder.
Then it started running. Pulling real LinkedIn profiles and printing personalized posters on the spot. Suddenly everyone in the room wanted one.
I stayed up the entire day and night building on it, slept on the floor of YC, and kept going.
I made the finals. In the final pitch, I printed a poster for the judges and took third place.
Distra was born standing at a printer, not sitting behind a deck.
